Notes
This beer was brewed as a Stien Beer, Stien meaning Stone in German. I super heated ten 4"x4"x2" pieces of granite for 4 hours in a charcoal fire. I then heated the wort to near boiling and added the rocks one at a time. I was about to sustain a boil using this method for approximatly 30 minutes. I then applied propane to continue for a 60 minute boil. No kettle Carmalization, only from the stones.
