After visiting the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest we headed up to 11,800ft and set up "Base Camp Alpha". The wind was quite strong while we were setting up our camp but eventually died down later on in the night. It was a very cold night and we woke to ice coating the inside and outsides of our tents. We set out to climb the 14,252ft mountain in the morning. Stephen quicly out paced me, as always. I pushed forward as hard as I could, broke through many mental walls, and made it to about 13,500ft before my body finally gave out on me. The top was within a stones throw as the crow flies but still about 1 hour away. We both made it back down safe and wind burnt.
